It was Rob who nixed the reunion! Twilight fans were crushed Aug. 11 when Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were no-shows at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards, despite Breaking Dawn Part 2 being up for seven major awards. Twi-hards couldn’t understand why neither star came to support the franchise that made them both into household names, but after speaking with one of Kristen’s friends, we’ve learned the real reason behind the former couple’s absence — and it all leads back to Rob! “Kristen had no problem whatsoever going to the Teen Choice Awards, but she was only going to go if Rob also went,” a friend of Kristen’s tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “It was primarily Rob’s decision not to go. He has been wanting to distance himself from the Twilight films for quite some time now. Kristen felt kind of hurt that Rob is so eager to move away with anything that has to do with the franchise. In a way, she takes it kind of personally.” What a bummer! We would have loved to see Rob and Kristen reunite on stage in front of all their fans — not to mention the rest of the world. Rob & Kristen’s ‘Strained’ Relationship As for how Rob and Kristen currently feel about each other, following their most recent split, a source close to the Twilight stars tells us things aren’t looking great. “Rob and Kristen have a strained relationship,” the source tells us, adding that Rob thought it would be “odd” to be reunite with Kristen “in a public setting with their peers.” And you can forget about a reunion in the near future.
