Nightclubs never forget! On Feb. 15, Drake was told to take his party elsewhere by bouncers at the Hollywood nightclub Playhouse. The reason? Because Chris Brown and his crew were already inside. Click to read the whole story.
No bottles were smashed inside the Hollywood nightclub Playhouse all because a few promoters have good memories. They begged rapper Drake to go elsewhere because Chris Brown and his posse had already been seated at a table, and Rihanna was expected to arrive as well.
The Chris Brown/Drake Brawl That Playhouse Hoped To Avoid
The Drake-Chris Brown beef has simmered considerably since last summer, but Playhouse wasn’t taking any chances. No doubt, their no-entry policy towards the “Marvin’s Room” rapper was a safeguard against repeating what went down between the two stars at W.i.P. in New York City on Jun. 14, 2012.
On that fateful night, Drake allegedly sent Chris’ table a bottle of liquor with the note, “I’m f*cking the love of your life! Deal with it!” The insult quickly escalated into a full-scale nightclub war, with members from each stars’ entourage chucking bottles — and punches — at one another.
The aftermath of the fight was unbelievable. Chris suffered a deep cut to his chin, basketball player Tony Parker scratched his retina badly — resulting in a $20 million lawsuit from the player — and W.i.P. was left in shambles. The after photo is still crazy to look at — a room covered in broken glass and spilled liquor.
So Playhouse was pulling out all the stops to avoid becoming the next battleground for Drake and Chris.
Reportedly, Drake and his crew understood the issue at hand, and left without any conflict whatsoever.
So, HollywoodLifers, did Playhouse do the right thing by banning Drake? Let us know!
