Alex Pettyfer has been cast as super sexy ‘dominant’ Christian Grey in the upcoming ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ film, and he has the right dangerously sexy good looks for the part.
Ladies, the big screen’s Christian Grey has been found its gorgeous 5’11″ British actor, Alex Pettyfer, a source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
Alex Pettyfer: A Perfect Christian Grey
He sure looks the part! He has the tousled wavy brown hair, Adonis-like face and sculptured chest and body that E.L. James described in her enormously popular Fifty Shades trilogy.
He’s also got the dangerously sexy attitude that emanates from Christian and attracts book heroine, Anastasia Steele and other women to him, like bees to honey.
He also happens to look pretty darn perfect in a crisp white dress shirt and fitted navy suit, ahem, just like the fictional Christian Grey.
At 23, he’s a few years younger than 27-year-old Christian, but he does look and project older.
Alex’s Competition — Who He Beat Out For The Role
Alex was up against some tough competition for the coveted but daring role: Ian Somerhalder, Robert Pattinson, Alexander Skarsgard and Liam Hemsworth.
While HollywoodLifers voted Rob as their top choice for the sensual role, E.L. James made it clear that she sadly didn’t want to work with either of the Twilight stars — Rob or Kristen Stewart.
Alex, who has already shown off his impressive chest in Magic Mike and has starred in Beastly and I Am Number Four, looks like he’d be ready to take on the serious challenges of the Christian Grey role.
We’re talking nudity and indulging in almost non-stop sadomasochistic sex scenes in the infamous Red Room of Pain … and just about everywhere else.
In fact, Alex will have to get comfortable handling a paddle, a whip, handcuffs, feathers, blindfolds, etc. etc. etc.
Not all actors could handle the frequent highly erotic sex scenes that Alex will need to indulge in as Christian.
I have to say, Alex has the look of a man, who could, shall we say, rise to the occasion.
But What About Anastasia Steele?
Now, our HollywoodLife.com source has also revealed to us that the Fifty Shades of Grey producers have their sights set on Jennifer Lawrence as their Anastasia Steele.
I’m not as convinced on Jennifer. She’s a terrific actress, but does she have the sexy naivety of virginal Anastasia? She feels a little too street smart for innocent Ana.
