The pregnant frontwoman of Lady Antebellum revealed just how excited she is to welcome her first baby on the 2013 ACM Awards red carpet, and even had her baby bump lovingly touched by carpet host Suzanne Alexander!
Lady Antebellum’s very pregnant Hillary Scott showed off her 6-month baby bump in a gorgeous navy dress on the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards red carpet, and revealed her band’s tour plans for when she gives birth in July.
Hillary, 27, who is expecting a baby girl with her drummer husband of two years Chris Tyrrell, 26, said on the red carpet that even in her sixth month of pregnancy, she’s feeling great and she and her hubby are truly blessed to welcome their first child together!
Then GAC red carpet host Suzanne Alexander asked if she could reach over and grab Hillary’s belly — which the Lady A frontwoman was totally cool with!
Lady Antebellum To Take Tour Break Over The Summer
The band also said that since Hillary’s baby is due in July, the band will take a break over the summer from their tour, from the middle of June through September.
Blake Shelton & Luke Bryan Joke About Hillary Scott’s Pregnancy
During the opening of the awards ceremony, hosts Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan poked fun at the Lady A baby on the way.
When Luke mentioned that Hillary was expecting her first baby with Chris, Blake poked fun at their busy schedule:
“When in the hell did they ever find time in their schedule to do that?” Blake joked.
Then Luke chimed in with a lyric from their hit song Need You Now:
“It’s a quarter after one, done got drunk and I need you now,” Luke joked back.
