It’s not every day celebrities stop in towns like Marfa, Tex., a place with a population under 2,000, so you can understand all the buzz around Kristen Stewart AND Robert Pattinson visiting for the weekend.
Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart In Marfa, Texas
On Apr. 5, a fan tweeted his shock over seeing K-Stew: “In 4 hours in a West Texas town of 2000, I’ve run into an old friend from SF, Millie from Freaks and Geeks, and Kristen Stewart.” The same fan later confirmed that the “West Texas town” he was referring to was indeed Marfa.
We began theorizing immediately — Kristen’s BFF Scout Compton tweeted on Apr. 3 that her “road trip starts now.” Two days later she tweeted a photo of her bridesmaids photo. Earlier in the week, another K-Stew BFF, Alannah Campion, Instagrammed a picture from Marfa, Tex. So have they been in West Texas all week getting ready for a friend’s wedding?
The fan sightings really picked up though on Saturday, Apr. 6, though, when Rob was spotted too! “OMG, I think I just saw Kristen of Twilight here, in Marfa with a red-hair-girl and her boy,” a Marfa resident tweeted. Another Marfa native simply tweeted, “Robert Pattinson in Marfa!!!” And yet another eyewitness tweeted that she saw the couple with a group outside of a Marfa hotel.

The funny thing is, of all these sightings, not one person snapped a picture! We’re left to stew — we know Rob partied with Vince Vaughn and Joaquin Phoenix on Friday night, Apr. 5, as we EXCLUSIVELY reported. Did he then travel down to Texas the next day to meet Kristen so he could be her date at a friend’s wedding together? According to Marfa’s website, there was an art opening for Mary Bonkemeyer — maybe THAT’s why they were there (just kidding).
There’s definitely plenty left to fill in about Rob and Kristen’s trip to the small town of Marfa, Tex., but we’ll be here to update you the second we find out.
