The 54-year-old’s face and body look amazing, but unfortunately, her hands aren’t in great shape! A top doctor speaks to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about how you can prevent your hands from giving away your age.
Madonna almost always wears gloves, but her hands made a rare appearance in New York City on May 29. Madonna’s aged and veiny hands are definitely a beauty misstep, but you can prevent your hands from looking like the talented singer. See our doctor’s top tips below.
Madonna’s Hands — Keep Your Digits Looking Young
Dr. Paul Carniol is a Board Certified New Jersey Plastic Surgeon who tells HollywoodLife.com about Madonna’s unsightly hands:
“Madonna is an amazingly talented singer who overall looks great and undoubtedly works out to keep herself fit. The appearance of her hands relates to working out and the passage of time. Her hands are those of an athlete with prominent muscles and veins. She also has lost hand soft tissue volume and has some thinning of her skin. Cosmetically, they would benefit from injection or fillers to give her hands a fuller appearance. I would speculate that she has inadequate body fat for fat transfer to her hands, due from working out, her diet, etc. She probably has a low body fat content.”
The best way to prevent damage as you age is to protect your skin. We know to wear sunscreen on our faces, but you should also be wearing it on your hands, as they are exposed to the sun more than any other body part. We love Garnier’s Skin Renew Dark Spot Hand Treatment. Not only does it fade dark spots, it evens tone, smoothes and moisturizes skin and contains an SPF 30 for maximum protection.
