It’s that time of year again where we honor our mothers and give them the gifts, acknowledgment, and love they deserve. Celebrities used Twitter to celebrate the holiday and show how much they appreciated the most important women in their lives.
Celebrities everywhere were gearing up for Mother’s Day, May 12. Some were sending out their love to their mothers and others were revealing their adorable Mother’s Day plans. Meanwhile, the celebs with children were tweeting in giddy anticipation for their big day.
Celebrities Tweet About Mother’s Day
Jessica Alba tweeted an adorable picture of her baby holding the parenting book she’s written, The Honest Life.
Rapper Sean Kingston’s love for his mother couldn’t even be contained to 140 characters! “Through the struggle high and below u taught me alot most stuff I learned today I owe to you!..Love u forever,” read Sean’s most endearing tweet.
Jesse McCartney tweeted, “Happy Mother’s Day!!!” along with a Keek video of him singing to his mom!
“Happy Mothers Day to moms and anyone who’s stepped into the role of “mom”-you deserve a holiday every day. xoP,” Paula Abdul touchingly tweeted.
A few other celebs were tweeting about how important their mothers were to them, and what they learned from them. “My mom taught me to never give up,” Tia Mowry tweeted. And Yoko Ono said, “What I learned from my mom: ‘Never forget that you are alright.’ love, yoko.”
Celebrity moms and dads were also tweeting their excitement for the holiday. WWE wrestler Shawn Michaels apparently has something big in the works for his wife: “Kids & I completed a Top Secret Mothers Day Stealth Mission…other than not being secret or even remotely stealthy…huge success!!:-)”
Pink, mother of one, was looking forward to being pampered: “Anyone else hoping and praying their partner gets it right for Mothers Day?!? Hahahaaha YEP!!!!” she tweeted.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wasn’t looking forward to being pampered, she was looking forward to some bling: “Ummm the boys might have told me they got me Diamonds for Mothers day (with a little help from @darinharvey ) im soooooooooooooooooo excited,” she tweeted.
And Brooke Burke-Charvet is just proud to be a mother: “On my way to Mothers Day tea at preschool. My son said, ‘You’re the best mommy I ever had!’” How cute!
