Kim Kardashian revealed her fit pregnant figure on the cover of Us Weekly, which hit select stands on May 8, and proved that she wasn’t afraid to bare it all in front of millions. But Kim’s revealing magazine cover comes after a long line of sexy pregnant cover shoots, starting with Demi Moore‘s iconic 1991 Vanity Fair cover, in which she was completely naked — and super pregnant.
Kim Kardashian’s Bare Bikini Cover
The mom-to-be, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kanye West, must have been tired of all of the mean comments about her pregnancy weight gain, so she decided to shut them up for good — and bare it all on the cover of Us Weekly!
Even though it wasn’t a staged photo shoot, Kim showed off her 7-month baby bump and bikini bod in a photo that (probably not-so-accidentally) made it on the cover of the magazine. Her bikini pic proved that she wasn’t ashamed of her pregnant body — and wasn’t going to be attacked by anyone!
Jessica Simpson Bares It All On ‘Elle’
Jessica Simpson was also harshly criticized when she was pregnant with her first child Maxwell Drew Johnson. She later revealed that she was called “Octomom,” and was nearly a weekly fixture on tabloids for how much weight she had gained.
But the fashion mogul wanted to prove she was still sexy and confident, so she graced the cover of Elle‘s April 2012 issue completely naked and baring it all! She put her naked body on full display, and carassed her big baby bump while covering her bareb reasts with her hands.
Of course, Jessica’s cover was a replica of Demi’s 1991 Vanity Fair cover, and other pregnant celebs have followed in Demi’s footsteps — Britney Spears on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, Cindy Crawford on the cover of W and Claudia Schiffer on the cover of Vogue Germany.
