Rob threw a star-studded party on June 22 to celebrate his friend, Nick Jarecki’s birthday, but there was one famous guest in particular who piqued our interest — the author of ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey!’ After Rob and E.L. partied together, is there still a chance he could be cast in the movie?
On April 24, a source revealed to HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Alex Pettyfer would be playing Christian Grey, the titular character in the film version of Fifty Shades of Grey. But still, nothing has been set in stone. And now with news that Fifty Shades author, E.L. James was in attendance at a big Robert Pattinson bash on June 22, the question remains — could R-Patz actually land the role after all?
E.L. James Attends Robert Pattinson’s Party
Singer/songwriter Todd Michael Schultz revealed the details of Rob’s birthday party for Arbitrage director, Nick Jarecki, to HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “It was a really good party,” Todd said. “Trust me, it was the best people.”
He wasn’t lying:
E.L. James was there, she was really cool. Dianne Warren, the songwriter was there. Lisa Zane sang a few songs. Warren Beatty was there, chilling with E.L. James.
Besides enjoying the image of Warren Beatty hanging out with E.L. James, let’s also think about this: the author of 50 Shades of Grey was at Rob’s house!
Robert Pattinson & E.L. James Hang Out: Chatting About ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey?’
R-Patz had long been rumored to be in the running for the role of Christian Grey in the movie version of the sexy book, but E.L. herself squashed those hopes in August 2012 when she said in an interview that she didn’t want either Rob or Kristen Stewart for the coveted lead roles.
But things change. Maybe her attendance at Rob’s party was a sign that she’s reconsidered!
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Could Rob still be Christian Grey?
