Did the iconic magazine editor inspire Kim and Kanye West’s unique baby name? Read this wild new report!
Kim Kardashian, 32 and Kanye West, 36, welcomed their daughter into the world June 15, and although her name was only just revealed, it’s already causing a lot of controversy. Kimye named its bundle of joy “North West,” despite previous reports that the baby would either have a ‘K’ name, or would be named in honor of Kanye’s late mother Donda. As crazy as it sounds, a new report claims the buzz-worthy name came courtesy of Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour!
Kim & Kanye Pick ‘North West’ Because Of Anna
While Kim was still pregnant, she and Kanye reportedly had dinner at Anna’s home, and the topic of conversation was baby names. Anna told the couple she liked the name “North West,” and now that the baby has been named, it seems like Anna can take all the credit!
E! Online reports that, although Anna isn’t the only the reason Kim and Kanye picked the name, that doesn’t mean she wasn’t a huge factor in their decision. With so much pressure to pick a unique-but-perfect name, we bet it was very reassuring to have the backing of Vogue. Maybe the support from the fashion expert was all the couple needed to officially pick the name!
Both Kim and Kanye love fashion, and are extremely fashionable themselves. (Remember all Kim’s great maternity looks?) It wouldn’t be a shock to us at all if the new parents picked the name because they knew Anna would be on their side!
What do you think? Was Anna an inspiration for baby North’s name?
