The star dished on her upcoming nuptials and shared new details on her dress — and the dresses that will be worn by her bridesmaids!
Olivia Wilde gushes to InStyle for their August issue about not only her wedding dress, but the bridesmaid dresses she selected, too! Find out who the 29-year-old actress will be wearing for the big day and what she wants her bridesmaids to do with the dresses long after the nuptials are over!
Olivia Wilde Wedding Dress Details:
Wilde opened up back in February about what she pictured herself wearing on her wedding with funnyman, Jason Sudeikis, 37.
Fast forward five months and The Change Up star is revealing that her dress will be designed by none other than Monique Lhuillier.. We assume that the renown designer will certainly be able to create exactly what the gorgeous bride-to-be is looking for!
Olivia Wilde On Her Bridesmaids Dresses:
Olivia also plans to have Lhuiller design her bridesmaids dresses for the big day, as well! She explains that unlike “that tortured tradition of forcing them to wear a ridiculous dress they’ll never wear again,” she has much different plans that will be sure to break that tradition.
"They'll have a real creation tailored for each of them. They can dye it black or purple and wear it forever," she explains.
Hmm … does this mean we can expect some light colored dresses at the ceremony? Although nothing has been confirmed, we love how thoughtful it was for Wilde to make each and every one of her ladies feel one-of-a-kind for her special day!
Olivia Wilde’s ‘InStyle’ Interview:
While we’re sure she will look gorgeous in a feminine frock, Olivia reveals that she hasn’t always had such feminine taste when it comes to fashion. In her latest interview she reveals her love for male-inspired clothing.
"I used to dress like [bluesman] John Lee Hooker, with wide-collared polyester shirts and corduroy suits. Boys were my role models back then,” she admits.
Olivia Wilde On Her Relationship With Jason Sudeikis:
No skinny on the wedding would be complete without her gushing about her husband-to-be! She reveals how she just couldn’t imagine life without her fiance.
"I like having a real partner. It's the model I grew up with. It's part of why I was able to take so many chances in my life, because I felt like someone was watching my back,” Wilde says.
But the engaged actress isn’t falling victim to the celebrity jealousy that comes with two performers falling in love. The Rush actress explains her excitement for having a beau in the business.
“I know there will be times when Jason is working more than I am, but I'm actually excited by that. I'm excited by what he will become, what depth he has," she says.
