On August 9, Lea’s friend and ‘Glee’ boss Ryan Murphy had her over for an intimate dinner — a much-needed night of fun between close friends. The heartbroken actress is lucky to have caring supporters like Ryan, because a new report claims that she is still really struggling with the loss of her soulmate.

It’s been almost one month since Cory Monteith tragically passed away from an overdose, and as that anniversary approaches, Cory’s girlfriend Lea Michele is still trying to find a way to overcome her immeasurable grief.

Lea Michele Still Devastated By Cory Monteith’s Death

The Glee actress is still reeling from the loss of the love of her life, a source tells People. “Every day is so hard,” the source says. “Just getting up in the morning means remembering that Cory is gone. It’s incredibly painful.”

Lea is reportedly still living in a nightmare where her soulmate — the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with — is no longer alive. And nothing is going to change that.

Not even beginning to work on Glee again. Lea got back to work on August 6, but filming hasn’t provided the relief she hoped. “It’s a struggle. She is incredibly strong, but that doesn’t make it easier,” the source adds.

Lea Michele: Leaning On Ryan Murphy

In some way though, it must make Lea feel somewhat better to know that she has the unconditional support of her Glee family — especially Ryan Murphy. On August 9, Ryan treated Lea to a lovely dinner, in what may have been a celebration for the end of Glee’s first week back at work.

Showing a hint of cheer, Lea wrote, “Beautiful dinner tonight at Ryan’s,” along with an Instagram picture of the intimate place settings. Ryan “is keeping Lea’s feet on the ground,” a source close to the grieving actress previously told HollywoodLife.com exclusively.

So even though it is still extremely — and understandably — difficult for Lea to go on right now, she has the right support system to eventually move on. What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Let us know!
