The odd couple is recording an album of duets together, according a tweet by the pop princess on Jan. 23. Will you be in line to buy it when it’s released?
Lady Gaga, 26, may be finishing up work on her new album ARTPOP, but she’s also working on a duets album with Tony Bennett, 86, – she’s one busy pop star!
Lady Gaga tweeted on Jan. 23, “I had the most amazing evening with The President, First Lady & The Whitehouse staff,” after she performed with the legendary singer at President Barack Obama’s Inaugural Ball. “Some pictures from the ball! And here’s me and my handsome date, I simply cannot wait for our album together, he’s my darling!”
Lady Gaga thanked the President for standing up for gay rights and dedicated a performance of “Born This Way” to him at the ball. She also sang “Edge of Glory” before she was joined on stage by Tony.
Lady Gaga and Tony previously duetted on the song “The Lady Is A Tramp” for Tony’s 2011 album Duets II.
Lady Gaga’s New Album ARTPOP
Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Ball tour continues through March 20. No release date has been set for ARTPOP, but Gaga revealed recently that she’s written around 50 tracks for the new album, according to Rolling Stone. She is also planning an ARTPOP documentary with photographer Terry Richardson.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you excited for a duets album with Tony and Lady Gaga?
