CBS’ CSI showed some life this Wednesday night, rising 17 percent week-to-week to hit a season high demo rating of 2.7. In total viewers, the long-running crime drama inched up 3 percent, to 11.5 million.

Leading into CSI, Criminal Minds (RIP, Maeve) drew 11.74 mil and a 3.0, ticking up a tenth.

American Idol’s second Wednesday outing of Season 12 did 16 mil/5.4, down 10 percent from the opener.

Over on ABC, The Middle (8.5 mil/2.5) and The Neighbors (6.3 mil/1.9) both ticked up, while Modern Family (10.8 mil/4.1) slipped 5 percent in the demo to a new season low. Suburgatory was flat at 6.3 mil/2.3. Nashville (5.5 mil/1.8) dropped 16 and 18 percent.

The CW’s Arrow (3.13 mil/1.1) was rock-steady, while Supernatural (2.1 mil/0.9) gained 4 percent in total audience.
