Rihanna's River Island Collection To Debut During London Fashion Week Jan 17th 2013, 16:22 The star is set to debut her first collection for the brand with a runway show during London Fashion Week — how exciting! The star may be known for her incredible vocals and top hits, but she’s adding another title to her resume! 24-year-old Rihanna is launching her River Island collection at an invite-only London Fashion Week event on Feb. 16. Don’t worry, though! The collection will launch internationally in River Island stores and online on Mar. 5. We are so excited to see the styles that will be uncovered! The star is thrilled about the news — and we can’t blame her! Just a few months ago she shared a behind-the-scenes sneak peek on set with the models on her Twitter page. As for the runway show, she says, “Launching at London Fashion Week is a dream come true for me. I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and to present my collection for River Island alongside all of the other great design talent at LFW is a real privilege. I can’t wait to see the reaction from my fans and the fashion press!” We hope that the fun and colorful styles that she typically wears rub off on her new collection items. Rihanna’s super thrilled about the launch, and she’s also expressing it to her fans through Twitter. She writes, “And for the fly girls in the U.S. Im very happy to announce that my #RihannaForRiverIsland fashion line will be carried by OPENING CEREMONY.” The star also retweeted British Vogue‘s announcement regarding the launch, and we expect more tweets from her in the near future about this big event coming up. If her River Island collection is anything close to how amazing her fragrances (Rebelle, Nude, and Reb’l Fleur) are, fans better brace themselves and save up their money for when purchases of her line can be made in March.
