Yee-Haw! The Oklahoma cheerleader and ‘Teen Mom 3′ star is set to marry her baby daddy Josh! The couple welcomed their son Gannon, 15, months, when they were still high school students on ’16 & Pregnant.’
Mackenzie Douthit, 18, isn’t going to be a single mom for much longer — she’s engaged to her long-term boyfriend and baby daddy Josh McKee!
Mackenzie announced the good news on Jan. 8 via Twitter when she shared an Instagram photo of her new engagement ring and wrote simply, “I said yes.” This is the second time Josh popped the question — the couple were previously engaged last year, but called things off in October 2012.
Mackenzie & Josh Featured On ’16 & Pregnant’
The high school senior was selected as part of MTV’s new cast of moms for the brand-new series Teen Mom 3. Mackenzie, a popular Oklahoma cheerleader was a fan favorite during the fourth season of 16 & Pregnant.
Mackenzie is still a high school student — back on the cheerleading team — who is also enrolled in cosmetology school. Josh was featured on 16 & Pregnant riding horses in the rodeo for extra cash, but he is currently a member of the Marine Corps. The couple will move to San Diego, Calif. where he is being stationed.
Mackenzie’s Dream Wedding
Even though they haven’t set a date yet, Mackenzie revealed to Us Weekly the details of her dream wedding in the spring when she was engaged the first time.
“We want like hay bales for people to sit on, and we want it in a barn, and we want to ride up on horses. We’re very country people,” she said. “We went to prom in camouflage last year. And we took pictures with like guns, holding them. I was four months pregnant, but…”
