Robert Pattinson may have another role in mind — pub owner. This according to a new report that also asks whether
Kristen Stewart would be the landlady. What?!
In an interview with Yahoo! omg!, Rob said, "I would love to own a pub in London at some point…I wouldn't want to buy a pub that was all trendy and done Gastro style food, I just want a real working men's pub."
Rob's Passion For Pubs
We're sure everyone would love to drink a couple of pints with Rob, but how does HE feel about drinking with his fellow celeb pals?
"I probably wouldn't even go public that I owned it," Rob said. "I wouldn't want it to become the sort of place people went to spot celebrities. I just want it to be a real pub where men discuss the issues of the day."
Rob is passionate about the importance and preservation of pubs in Britain, saying they they bring a sense of community.
"The UK is the home of pubs, and we need to make sure we protect them," the actor said."Every time I am back home and see that a local pub has closed down it actually makes me sad. The local can be the focal point of the community, and if we lose them we lose one of the things that is greatest about Britain.
"Men putting the world to rights over a few pints puts the Great into Great Britain; we have to fight to keep that," said Rob.
Rob And Kristen Fighting In London?
As
HollywoodLife.com previously reported Rob and Kristen brought in the new year in London at Mestizo,
a Mexican restaurant. Although the couple was spotted holding hands, a new report says that Rob and Kristen have been
fighting non-stop while in London. Oh no!
"Things with them aren't good. They've been fighting a lot," a source told
Life & Style. "Rob isn't happy. It's just a matter of time before he ends this."
We certainly hope this report is not true, and if Rob does indeed decide to open a pub, we wish him all the very best!
