Bobby Brown's Jail Sentence — Singer Gets 55 Days After Third DUI Arrest Feb 27th 2013, 02:28 Bobby was sentenced to nearly two months in jail on Feb. 26, following his arrest in October of 2012 for DUI! Read on for all the details. Bobby Brown’s legal troubles have finally caught up with him. The notoriously troubled singer has been sentenced to 55 days in jail following his third DUI arrest in October of 2012! Bobby Brown’s Third DUI Arrest Bobby, 44, was arrested on Oct. 24, 2012 after cops pulled him over for erratic driving. Upon smelling alcohol in his car, the singer was made to take a field sobriety test, which he failed. He was charged with DUI and driving on a suspended license, which happened as a result of his other DUI conviction earlier that year. His first DUI conviction occurred in 1996. TMZ reports that Bobby pled no contest to the charges on Feb. 26, earning his 55-day sentence, as well as four years of probation. He’s also been ordered to complete an 18-month alcohol program. He has until March 20, 2013 to turn himself in to the jail to begin serving his sentence, and he’s been ordered to attend 3 AA meetings a week until he does. Bobby Arrested For DUI Just After Whitney Houston’s Death Bobby’s first DUI arrest of 2012 happened on March 26, just little over a month after the tragic passing of his ex-wife, Whitney Houston. After that arrest, he had enrolled himself in an alcohol abuse treatment program, though it didn’t seem to be of much help. Bobby’s Other Demons Bobby notoriously suffered from addiction to cocaine, crack, and heroin. In late 2003, he was arrested for misdemeanor battery, allegedly having struck Whitney while shouting epithets at her. Despite his troubles in 2012, Bobby also found time to release an album, his first in fifteen years. Entitled The Masterpiece, it was released on June 5 to very little fanfare.
