Former True Blood witch doctor Aisha Hinds is joining CBS’ summer series Under the Dome.
Hinds will play Carolyn Hill, a powerful Los Angeles entertainment attorney who’s trapped in the doomed (and domed) town of Chester’s Mill while she and her partner drive their teenage daughter to a camp for troubled youth.
CBS' 13-episode drama, based on Stephen King's 2009 novel, takes place in a New England community that inexplicably finds itself trapped beneath a massive, transparent barrier. The situation soon turns to chaos.
Hinds’ resumé also includes roles on Detroit 1-8-7, HawthoRNe, Invasion and The CW’s forthcoming Cult.
As previously reported, the actress also will guest-star in USA Network’s untitled pilot from Numbers creators Nicolas Falacci and Cheryl Heuton.
Hinds’ confirmed castmates include Life Unexpected‘s Britt Robertson, CSI: NY‘s Natalie Martinez, Supernatural‘s Colin Ford, Jolene Purdy (Gigantic) and Nicholas Strong (Nashville).
