Watch a new trailer for ‘Game of Thrones’ season three — now with nearly 30 more seconds of footage!
We got our first official look at Game of Thrones‘ upcoming third season last week when the trailer premiered on Jimmy Kimmel! Live, but because HBO loves us — and knows how impatient we are — the network has released an extended trailer, featuring another half-minute of never-before-seen footage. We’re just 27 days away from the show’s March 31 premiere, and at this point, I’ll take anything I can get.
Cersei & Tyrion’s Sibling Rivalry
If you enjoy watching Cersei (Lena Headey) and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) exchanging jabs, you definitely won’t go wanting in season three. The extended trailer features yet another confrontation between the two, with Cersei informing Tyrion, “You’re not as clever as you think you are.”
Proving her wrong, “The Imp” responds, “Still makes me more clever than you.”
Burn!
More Dragons
The original trailer gave us our first look at Daenerys’ (Emilia Clarke) flying dragons, but this extended trailer — as its very nature suggests — gives us an extended look at her winged kiddos.
Jon Snow’s Doubt
We may have faith in Jon Snow (Kit Harington), but the bastard son of Ned Stark doesn’t appear to share our confidence in himself.
“I want to fight for the side that fights for the living,” he says in the extended trailer. “Did I come to the right place?”
So Much Sex
Game of Thrones never shies away from an opportunity for nudity, so it should come as no surprise that the extended trailer features a few quick shots of the lovers of Westeros — including Jon and Ygritte (Rose Leslie).
