The WWE and professional wrestling are devastated by the news that they’ve lost a young member of its community. Reid Flair clearly made a huge impact on so many lives — tons of wrestlers took to Twitter on Mar. 30 to mourn their fallen brother.

Members of the professional wrestling community took to their Twitters upon hearing that Reid Flair, 25, son of WWE legend Ric Flair, was found dead in his hotel room on Mar. 29. The outpouring of support proves that Reid will truly be missed, and that the wrestling community is extremely strong and tight-knit.

The biggest names in wrestling dropped their antagonistic stage personas on Mar. 30 to show how much they truly care about their own by tweeting their prayers and support for Reid and the Flair family.

Reid Flair’s Death: WWE Stars Show Support

There were the wrestlers who competed with Ric, who knew Reid from the day he was born. Roddy Piper, a wrestling legend in his own right, tweeted, “My heart is with Ric and Reid Flair today! Reid was my son too!” and then later, “Good Night Reid. Love ya!”

Longtime wrestling announcer Jim Ross said, “Words cannot express our emotions re: death today of Reid Flair the 25 year old son of Ric Flair. Condolences to the Flair family. So sad.”

Another legend, Mick Foley, tweeted, “My heart goes out to the family and friends of Reid Flair. I can’t imagine the grief they are going through at this time. So young. So sad.”

And Kurt Angle tweeted, “To Ric flair and His family, I’m So Sorry for the Loss of Reid, Ric’s Son. You Were family to Me. GOD Bless You Ric! I Love U.”

But the younger generation — Reid’s generation — of wrestlers also expressed their sympathies. Mike “The Miz” had this to say: “Been on a flight all day just heard about the passing of Reid. My thoughts and prayers go out to Ric Flair and his family.”

And Matt Hardy tweeted, “Heard about the passing of Reid Flair-it’s terrible & sad. My heart goes out to his family & especially his father, Ric Flair. Damn.”

It is an extremely tough time for the professional wrestling community — Reid Flair’s death is such a tragedy — but the overwhelming support coming from the community’s stars is heartwarming and should help the Flair family through their grief.
