How tragic. The son of one of professional wrestling’s biggest stars passed away of unknown causes on Mar. 29 at the young age of 25.
Reid Flair, son of famed wrestler Ric Flair, was found dead in his Charlotte, NC hotel room on Mar. 29. He was only 25 years old.

Reid’s cause of death has not yet been determined, but foul play is not suspected at this time, according to wcnc.com.
Reid had been wrestling professionally in Japan recently, and was scheduled to go on tour with his father this week. It had been assumed that Reid was close to signing a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment since his father recently rejoined the company.
Ric Flair’s agent, Melinda Morris Zanoni, released a statement on the family’s behalf:
We are heartbroken to confirm that Ric’s son, Reid, has passed away today on March 29, 2013 in Charlotte, NC. The investigation into the cause of death is ongoing. Reid was an incredible son, brother, friend, and professional wrestler. No words can describe the grief that Ric and his family are experiencing and they do request privacy during this devastating time.
Reid Flair Passes Away: WWE Community Shows Support
Though Reid was just coming up in the wrestling world, the pro wrestling community’s support has flooded out on Twitter upon hearing the tragic news, and it’s clear that Reid made a lasting impression as he was growing up around the sport.
Roddy Piper tweeted, “My heart is with Ric and Reid Flair today! Reid was my son too!”
Kurt Angle added, “To Ric flair and His family, I’m So Sorry for the Loss of Reid, Ric’s son. You Were family to Me. GOD Bless You Ric! I Love U.”
Reid will truly be missed. Our thoughts are with his friends and family in this difficult time.
