So kind! In a new interview, Werner Herzog, the director of Rob’s new film ‘Queen of the Desert,’ raved about how ‘intelligent’ Rob is!
Robert Pattinson will be teaming up with German director Werner Herzog for his new film, Queen of the Desert. In an interview with Zeit Online, Werner revealed he’s excited to work with Rob because of his talents!
Robert Pattinson: ‘Queen Of The Desert’ Director Praises Actor
“This is a very intelligent man. [He] writes well. [He] knows exactly what he’s doing,” Werner raved.
Werner also added that he knows Rob recognizes that it’s time to move on from being a teen heartthrob, and become a more serious actor. “He also knows that he must be out of this short-lived type of role of teen stars.”
‘Rover’ Co-Star: Robert Pattinson Is A ‘Great’ Actor
Werner isn’t the only one of Rob’s colleagues to praise him. Rob’s The Rover co-star, Guy Pearce, also praised Rob’s acting abilities! In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Guy said, "The best thing about Rob is that he is a really great actor. Watching the rushes back, you go: 'OK, he is just going to be fantastic'."
Guy also gave a little preview of how Rob portrays his character in the film!
"He plays [the character] slightly backward, emotionally useless and really vulnerable," Guy explains. "He's got this beautiful face so you are completely entranced by that face no matter how ugly he makes himself or how wounded he is, or how manky his haircut."
