Jamie King is going to be a mom! The actress, 34, is pregnant with her first child with her husband Kyle Newman. The couple has been married for five years, and The Hart of Dixie star has said that she wants three children — it looks like she’s well on her way!
Jamie King Pregnant — Welcoming First Child
Jamie is due with her first child later this year, her rep confirms to People, even though they have been married for five years. The happy couple met working on the set of Fanboys in 2005, when Kyle was the director of the flick. They tied the knot on Nov. 23, 2007. She revealed to InStyle magazine shortly after her nuptials that she wants at least three children.
Jamie King’s Life As A Former Model
Before she got into acting, Jamie worked as a model — and revealed it was a dark past, during which she got addicted to heroin and was a major party girl. The told New York Times Magazine:
"At 16 years old, you think you know everything, and then all of a sudden you realize that you don't know anything at all. That is the best way to explain what I was feeling at that time,” she said in her interview. “I felt like some people wanted a piece of me, wanted to take something from me. I felt that they wanted to sexualize me. In hindsight, I can see that and know the truth of it, but at that time I didn't know that's what they were doing. I experimented with drugs; I was young and wanted to 'fit' 'in.' I quickly realized this wasn't the path for me, and I haven't touched any drug since I was 17," she added.
