Kris Jenner received a major snub when she didn’t receive an invitation to attend the star-studded Met gala in New York City on May 6. This didn’t seem to bother her daughter, Kim Kardashian, because she was more preoccupied with getting her own invite with the help of her boyfriend, Kanye West.
Kim Only Cared About Her Own Invitation To The Met Ball
A friend of the Kardashian family tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, “Kim wasn’t concerned about her mom being invited to the Met Ball. She was concerned about herself getting invited and knew that Kanye had to pull major strings.”
The friend adds, “She knows that there is no way she would have been invited to the Met gala if it hadn’t been for Kanye.”
Kim Was The Only Reality Star Invited To The Met Ball
According to RadarOnline, Vogue‘s Anna Wintour did not want to invite any reality stars to the biggest fashion party of the year. The source says when Kris asked about attending the gala, Anna said, “One Kardashian is enough!” Ouch!
"Anna approves every star who enters and although she finally relented on Kim, she drew the line at Kris, who was desperate to attend,” added the insider. "Anna wants a parade of stars at the gala, not a parade of reality stars!"
