Even though all 12 finalists charted on the iTunes list, two had to go home, and it wasn’t a good night for the new coaches.
The top ten was revealed on The Voice on May 14 after America’s votes eliminated two more contestants. After all twelve rocked the stage on Monday night, it had to be a close count!
Hottest Performances Of The Night
The night began with tons of amazing performances.
Robin Thicke was joined on stage by T.I. and Team Usher‘s mentor Pharrell took the stage to perform their new collaboration “Blurred Lines.” Kris Thomas from Shakira‘s team and Vedo from Usher’s team also joined in!
Country group Lady Antebellum (who’s lead singer is the mentor for Blake Shelton‘s team) also performed their new song “Goodbye Town,” with help from Adam Levine‘s team.
However, the hottest performances of the night were from the coaches and their teams! Blake Shelton and his team performed the fitting song, “Play Something Country,” while Adam and his girls took on “Love Song.”
America’s Shocking Votes Sends 2 Home
This week, America had to vote for their faves, and the two with the least amount of votes were sent home.
Adam was super excited, to keep all three of his singers – Judith Hill, Sarah Simmons and Amber Carrington.
Team Blake also kept all his country sweethearts!
However, the newbies weren’t as lucky.
Usher’s Josiah Hawley made us all fall even more in love with him after revealing his love for The Mighty Ducks. Lucky for us, he made it through to the top ten, along with Michelle Chamuel. Unfortunately, Vedo was sent home.
Team Shakira’s Kris Thomas and Sasha Allen were also saved, meaning that Garret Gardner was heading home.
So, HollywoodLifers — do you think the right people went home? Vote below!
