Yikes! Lindsay Lohan’s chosen rehab facility of Morningside Recovery allegedly has no license, and Lindsay’s father Micheal Lohan EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com why he wants her to move.
Things are not looking good for Lindsay Lohan. The 26-year-old Mean Girls actress violated her plea deal by hopping a plane to California, and now the rehab facility she is going to has been revealed to have NO license! Lindsay was planning to go to Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, Calif. — instead of her assigned rehab facility in New York — so she could smoke, and it looks like that was a bad idea.
Morningside Recovery’s License Suspended
Lindsay’s treatment centre has no license, TMZ revealed. In November 2011, Morningside’s license was suspended for being careless with prescription drugs and operating beyond the scope of its license, and so the California Dept. of Alcohol and Drug Programs revoked their license outright.
Millicent Tidwell, the Acting Deputy Director Over the Licensing and Certification Division at the Department, told TMZ:
Morningside cannot give any treatment. It is a violation of the State law to operate a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility in California without a license. Morningside does not have a license.
It is yet unclear what will happen with Lindsay’s treatment, but her father Michael Lohan told us that he is not happy with how things have been handled and he is hoping to have her moved.
Michael Lohan Not Happy With Lindsay At Morningside
Lindsay’s father Michael spoke to HollywoodLife.com about Lindsay’s treatment, and he EXCLUSIVELY said that he is NOT happy with her current situation.
Lindsay had no idea that Morningside wasn’t approved. It’s not her fault. This poor kid was a mess before she left because she didn’t want to go there. [Mark] Heller and Dina [Lohan] are pulling her in one direction [Morningside], and I was trying to pull her in the right direction [The Lukens Institute]. Heller told her if she didn’t go she would be arrested. Hopefully now Lindsay will get put in The Lukens Institute where she wanted to go all along — a place she will get the right treatment and finally get better.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you shocked at Lindsay’s treatment?
