Despite vicious reports that The Voice mentor Blake Shelton and his wife Miranda Lambert were headed for divorce, the couple is actually ready to prove they are stronger than ever. Blake and Miranda, who will celebrate their second wedding anniversary on May 14, are preparing to be first-time parents!
Blake Shelton & Miranda Lambert: Planning For Baby
Blake is busy getting ready for his summer tour and with duties as a mentor on the hit NBC show The Voice, and Miranda has been traveling the country on her national concert tour. But a source close to the couple reveals to OK! magazine that they want to focus on having a baby as soon as their schedules free up!
“Miranda has been super busy touring — and Blake’s got his own three-month tour starting in July — but after this summer she says she wants to slow down and focus on having a baby,” the insider tells OK! magazine!.
The Voice mentor, on the other hand, is beyond ready for children — and has been wanting to be a dad for a while!
“Blake says he’s ready too. Actually, if it were up to him, they’d already have [a kid] running around,” the source reveals.
Miranda & Blake’s Marriage Is Stronger Than Ever
Even though Miranda had admitted to monitoring her husband’s Twitter account and cell phone — “we know each other's passcode,” she revealed to Us – she completely trusts her husband, and can’t wait to start a family.
“His flirting did come close to totally destroying Miranda’s trust in him. More than a few times, she was convinced they weren’t going to make it, let alone be parents,” the insider reveals. “But she’s proud that they fought for their marriage. Miranda feel like they’re stronger than ever; they’re in a great place, and ready to start their family!”
