Taylor Swift looked hot when she sang “22″ at the Billboard Music Awards on May 19 in Las Vegas. The singer wore a cute tight blue t-shirt with sexy sporty short shorts when she hit the stage and we thought it looked and sounded great!
Taylor Performs ’22′ At Billboard Music Awards
First of all, BFF Selena Gomez fittingly announced Taylor, calling her one of the biggest stars in the world and professing how proud she was to call Tay Tay a friend. It was so cute! But after that amazing introduction it was all about Taylor.
She’s rocked awards show stages before — now she can notch the 2013 Billboard Music Awards under her belt too! T-Swift was totally fierce in Vegas singing “22,” as the performance started in Taylor’s dressing room and featured a fun tour through the MGM Grand’s backstage. Instead of having to focus her energy on dissing someone, this time it really just looked like Taylor was having the time of her life.
It’s no surprise that the performance, which even featured the Jabbawockeez dance team, earned a standing ovation.
Taylor Nominated For 11 Billboard Music Awards
We told you that Taylor was up for 11 Billboard Music Awards, including Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album for Red, Top Female Artist, and Top Hot 100 Artist. This is Taylor’s year!
A cool thing to point out, she’s the only woman to have two albums sell one million copies in a week! Plus, her single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” was able to stay at the number one spot on the Hot 100 list! Does she ever get a chance to sleep?!
Taylor spoke about all the awards she was up for and sounded pretty humbled:
For me, the highlight of this year was that fans went out and bought more than a million copies of “Red” in its first week of release. That was such an unbelievable feeling, knowing that many people wanted to hear about the last two years of my life. When I put out an album, it's like me releasing my version of events, the way I felt at my highest and lowest points. Sharing that with the world is a vulnerable position to put yourself in, and having it be so celebrated by my fans was almost an indescribable feeling of joy and relief and ‘Oh, good, they understand me.’
