Kanye, the most important thing is that both your baby and Kim are healthy and that you were right by Kim’s side during her unexpected early birth. But now that the newest Kardashian-West has arrived, everyone is anxiously waiting to hear the name you have chosen for your little one!
HollywoodLife.com has heard from multiple sources that you both wanted to uphold Kardashian family tradition and pick a name that started with the letter “K.”
“They’re going to name the baby something with a K,” a source told us June 15, the day your daughter was born.
Your Daughter’s Name Means Everything To You Both
However, a family insider has revealed to us that you wanted to honor Kim’s late father and Kanye’s late mother with your daughter’s name.
"Kai Georgia Donda West has been mentioned" as your top choice for a name, according to the insider.
Kim, your father Robert Kardashian passed away from esophageal cancer on September 30, 2003, and his middle name was George. Coincidentally, Kanye was born in Atlanta, Ga.
And Kanye, I know you were extremely close to your mother, who passed away very unexpectedly in 2007 at the young age of 58. Her name was Donda, and she died from complications following plastic surgery. She had just had a breast augmentation, tummy tuck and liposuction in a single surgery on Nov. 9, 2007.
You were was devastated by her death, as your friends told the media, “I don’t think Kanye was aware Donda was getting the surgery or certainly the extent of it,” a family told the New York Daily News at the time. “He loved and supported her just the way she was. He thought she was beautiful.”
Kim and Kanye, if you’ve both chosen Kai Georgia Donda West as your new darling’s name, I have to say that it’s an absolutely lovely and very thoughtful name.
