Watching Miley Cyrus twerk in hardly any clothes in the “We Can’t Stop” video, it’s almost impossible not to ask, “What does Liam Hemsworth think about this?” Well we asked, and it turns out he doesn’t like it one bit.
Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth Fight About Her Sexy New Image
Miley’s new ultra-sexy persona is causing a ton of problems for her and Liam, a source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “They’ve had a lot of fights about it,” the source says.
Apparently Liam hasn’t loved watching his fiancee turn into a racy, super hot exhibitionist as much as we have. He feels somewhat disrespected by it, the source suggests.
And the fact that Liam’s mad about it only makes Miley mad: “Miley doesn’t think Liam has any right to tell her to tone it down,” the source says. “He plays different characters for his career and this is the character she’s playing right now for her career.” It’s a great point by Miley — Liam had to know what he was getting himself into when he got engaged to a budding sex symbol.
Miley Cyrus: Toning The Sexiness Down For Liam Hemsworth
The fights have gotten bad and they do disrupt the loving relationship Miley and Liam have, but to Miley’s credit, she’s willing to swallow her pride (somewhat) for the sake of love.
“She has made some adjustments because she wants to keep the peace,” the source says. “It might not look like it, but she toned down a lot of stuff in her ‘We Can’t Stop’ video. It’s a hard line to walk because she’s trying to be respectful to Liam but also be true to herself as an artist.”
First of all, can we step back and imagine what a not-toned down version of “We Can’t Stop” would look like?!
Secondly, this is a sticky situation for Miley and Liam to be in. This is her career they’re fighting about — obviously knowing the world can watch his fiancee shake her butt might be unnerving, but Liam has to give Miley the freedom to take her image in whichever direction she wants.
