PSY brought down the house with his awesome performance of “Gangham Style” at the MuchMusic Video Awards on June 16. And yes, there was horsey dancing!
PSY Performs ‘Gangham Style’
PSY opened the show with his hot performance, and he really set the bar high for all the performers of the night! There was horsey dancing, fireworks and plenty of energy. Plus, PSY wore his signature tuxedo!
Most fans were shocked when PSY chose to sing this instead of his new song “Gentleman,” especially since he said on New Year’s Eve that he would not be singing “Gangham Style” again.
PSY Retires 'Gangnam Style'
PSY's new song "Gentlemen" comes after the Korean pop singer announced on Dec. 31 that he was retiring his hit song "Gangnam Style."
"The song became too popular, and so you start to have some concern about its life period," PSY said. "I'm really working hard on a new single right now, and I'm not saying ['Gangnam'] is ending on 'Dick Clark' — I still have a lot of invitations to perform it … I'll be in Paris, and in February I got invited to perform in China, and I've still got to do promo. So let me say that in America I need a new single because 'Gangnam Style' got too popular, so I've got to write a new single."
He clearly changed his mind!
