Singer and songwriter Todd Michael Schultz spoke EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com about Rob’s awesome ’Great Gatsby’ themed party, and he reveals that Rob admitted that LA is a tough place to connect with people.
Robert Pattinson finds it hard to make friends? How shocking! On June 22 Rob hosted an extravagant Great Gatbsy themed party at his Los Feliz, Calif. house, where he opened up about the trials and tribulations of living in LA. Speaking EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com, party guest Todd Michael Schultz revealed that he and Rob had a long conversation about how hard it is to make friends in the city of angels.
Robert Pattinson Finds It Hard To Make Friends
Rob threw the party to celebrate Arbitrage director, Nick Jarecki’s 34th birthday, and Todd attended with his boyfriend Bret Easton Ellis. While there, he and Rob had a pretty interesting conversation about how hard it is to maintain friendships in LA.
He tells us:
I just met Rob once. He’s a cool guy. We were talking about Canyons [Bret's movie]. I brought it up and we were talking about a certain vibe of LA. Like in LA no one wants to hang out because its a 20-minute drive. Its that kind of vibe. It’s hard to connect really deeply because there’s a lack of community. What’s the moral consequence of that? I was talking about that and Rob was mostly like, ‘Yeah.’
It sounds like Todd’s favorite book by Bret is Less Than Zero!
Poor Rob. HollywoodLife.com previously reported that since Rob and Kristen Stewart broke up, he has been leaning on good friend Katy Perry because all of his friends are English and live in London.
Rob may find to hard to make friends, but he faces no struggles when trying to throw an awesome party!
Robert Pattinson’s ‘Great Gatsby’ Themed Party
Rob hosted the glamourous birthday soiree at his home, and quite a few famous people attended! Entertainment attorney Vladimir Radovanov, documentary filmmaker Ondi Timoner, Dianne Warren, Lisa Zane and Warren Beatty were just some of the guests in attendance.
Todd told HollywoodLife.com all the juicy details:
It was a really good party. It was in Rob’s backyard — he had catered tacos. Dianne Warren, the songwriter, was there. Warren Beatty was there chilling. Lisa Zane sang a few songs. It was all smart people — trust me, the best people, from beginning to end.I got home at 3 or 4 a.m. The party was just dwindling when I left.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Are you shocked that Rob finds it hard to make friends?
