Lea is slowly but surely stepping back out into the public eye after the love of her life tragically died on July 13, but it hasn’t been easy. Out for a friend’s party on August 3, the grieving ‘Glee’ star appeared to be fighting back her emotions.
In some sense it’s good to see Lea Michele starting to get back to her normal life after Cory Monteith’s tragic death, but it’s also heartbreaking to see her still so devastated.
Lea Michele Looking Sad Out With Friends
Lea was spotted on August 3 in Los Angeles, heading to a friend’s party at the Thompson Hotel, according to FameFlynet. The Glee star, who was accompanied by two friends, looked beautiful in a white lace dress with matching heels as she headed in to the swanky hotel.
But she also looked downtrodden. With sunglasses to shield her eyes, Lea appeared to be fighting back her feelings and still seemed to be readjusting to being back in the public eye. But the most important part is that she’s out, leaning on her friends and staying busy as she tries to recover and move forward after Cory’s death.
Lea Michele: Devastated, But Staying Strong
That’s how things are for Lea at the moment — a mix of being extremely strong and sad. Heading back to film Glee, a source close to the show tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that, “Lea is very strong in the process so far. She is really trying to show a strong face on set to the cast and crew.”
But at the same time, she can only put on that strong face for so long. “You can tell she is still in a haze,” the source also says, adding, “Tears can and will happen at anytime.”
That being said, the bottom line is we are extremely glad to see Lea out and about. Staying active and being with her close friends really are the best medicine for her. What do you think, HollywoodLifers?
