Time for a vacation! Ever since Robin Thicke gave his MTV Video Music Awards performance with twerk-happy Miley Cyrus, he and his family have been under intense media scrutiny. But Robin his wife, actress Paula Patton, and their son, Julian, seem relaxed and content in these cute new photos from their Miami getaway!
Robin Thicke & Paula Patton Vacation In Miami After VMAs
The family of three was photographed frolicking happily in the ocean together in Miami on Aug. 28. Robin wore a white T-shirt into the water, and Paula, 37, looked amazing in her bikini. Adorable three-year-old Julian looked sweet and excited as he splashed in the waves. Robin, 36, held Julian up high over the water as his little son held his breath for the next big wave. The whole family got comfortable in towels on lounge chairs after their day in the ocean, according to the UK’s Daily Mail. Aww!
Robin and Paula have always spoken very highly of each other and their family dynamic with Julian. The “Blurred Lines” singer and his wife have been dating since they were both 16 years old and married since 2005, and it’s great to see they’re still going strong as they relax and recharge together on this fun family getaway.
Robin Thicke’s MTV VMAs Performance
The “Blurred Lines” singer also seems to be reflecting on his life and career during his Miami getaway, as he tweeted on Aug. 29, “A light heart lives long. -William Shakespeare.” So true, Robin! If there was any doubt about whether he’s sweating the buzz about his racy performance with Miley, we think this tweet says it all! Keep having fun with your family, Robin — and with your new video for “Give It 2 U”, which we love by the way!
We told you Paula is an understanding wife and she had no problem with Robin’s risque VMA performance — or his X-rated “Blurred Lines” video, for that matter. It was Robin’s mom, Gloria Loring, who wasn’t a fan of the VMA performance. “[Robin]? Loved it. I love that suit, the black and white suit. I don’t understand what Miley Cyrus is trying to do. I just don’t understand. I think she’s misbegotten in this attempt of hers,” Gloria said to Yahoo. “And I think it was not beneficial.”
Oh well, can’t please ‘em all! At least Robin and Paula look happy, and that’s all that really matters!
