With new videos from all of our favorite young stars, the summer of 2013 has been the hottest one in a LONG time. From Selena to Miley to Demi, they’ve all taken steps in exciting — crazy sexy — directions. So which steamy summer video has been your favorite?
We’ve been totally spoiled this summer — in terms of sexy music videos, this one’s been hotter than a barbecue pit, with stars like Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus pumping out sexy clips for our viewing pleasure. It’s almost like all of our favorite singers have been trying to outdo each other throughout the summer months!
Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus & More: Who Had The Sexiest Video Of The Summer
Selena sort of kicked off the summer early with the May release of her video for “Come & Get It,” but her follow-up video, “Slow Down,” released on July 19, has kept the ball rolling for the 21-year-old. Continuing her maturation, which she showcased by being totally naughty in Spring Breakers, Selena has had a huge year and has blossomed into a grown-up performer miles away from that Disney kid we once knew.
Selena also rang in her adulthood with an insanely hot video for her 21st birthday, appropriately shot to the song, “Birthday.”
Demi Lovato also took a step in a more mature direction, as she lit a hometown carnival on fire in super-short jean shorts in “Made In The USA.” And Taylor Swift continued to prove that she was the premiere performer in pop music with her striking video for “Red.”
But this really might just be Miley’s summer. No one has amped up their persona more drastically in a shorter span of time. Specifically, it took just three and a half minutes — the length of her music video for “We Can’t Stop.” Taking her twerking campaign to a new level, making out with dolls, and dancing in her underwear with a giant teddy bear strapped to her back, Miley sent a very clear message — she has been liberated and she will not stop.
Chris Brown & More: The Boys Of Summer
But the summer of 2013 hasn’t just been for the ladies — it’s been a solid season for the guys too!
Chris Brown kept the sexy going with “Shots Fired” with the rapper Tank. Really, any video where Chris shows his abs are going to make a “Sexy Music Videos” list.
And while we’re not sure we can really call Zayn Malik cross-dressing sexy, One Direction’s video for “Best Song Ever” might just flat-out be the best video of the year! It’s so hilarious that the guys dressed up as different characters for the clip, and it’s really awesome to see that they don’t take themselves too seriously.
But the breakout star of the summer was Justin Bieber-in-the-making, Austin Mahone. His video for “What About Love” is the perfect calling card for the up-and-coming 17-year-old singer, and we can see why he became a YouTube sensation and why he already has a loyal legion of followers (the Mahomies, of course).
