Chris stunned an Emerson Theater audience on Mar. 6 with a vulgar rant but he’s already looking to put out the flames, telling reporters that the rant wasn’t a big deal at all. Keep reading to see all he had to say in defense of what he calls ‘just a song.’

Chris Brown must be getting tired of everyone overanalyzing his every action. He certainly seemed exhausted at having to defend himself yet again on Sunday night, Mar. 10.

This time, the moment in question happened on Mar. 6 at the Emerson Theater in Los Angeles when Chris vulgarly testified to taking ownership of his woman — presumably Rihanna. “You gotta say that one thing to her, and I made this s**t up. Don't make me have to tell you again that that's my p**** baby. It is mine, baby, babe, mine,” was the crux of Chris’ on-stage rant, but it was hardly only instance of raunchy cursing.

Chris Brown Defends Himself

Leaving the nightclub Lure on Mar. 10, a reporter from TMZ asked Chris about the rant and CB basically told him to just relax: “It’s a song. It’s a song. That’s all it is,” he said before laughing and getting into the back of an SUV.

Chris Brown’s Rant: Is It A Big Deal Or Not?

Chris, on some front, is right. He’s a performer and part of his job is to shock audiences and entertain them. “When Chris is on stage, he’s just going with the flow — he isn’t trying to disrespect Rihanna,” a source close to Chris told HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “Rappers say way harder s**t than what he said,” the source also says, which is definitely true.

But on the other hand, a rapper like Chris who has a sordid past and a poor public image should be working on improving his public behavior — and a rant like this doesn’t do this. It actually probably confirms that Chris doesn’t really care about what anyone thinks.

What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Was Chris’ rant “just a song,” or was it more than that? Let us know!
