Acomputer hacker has obtained a long list of celebrities’ financial dossiers and posted them on an undisclosed website. Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, and even Hillary Clinton are among the 12 celebs to be exposed.
Jay-Z, Paris Hilton & More — 12 Celebrities Get Hacked
It is definitely a scary moment for these celebs — the hacker site reportedly posted social security and phone numbers, mortgage information, credit card info, car loans, and several other forms of info of 12 big-name celebrities. Besides Beyonce, Kim, and Hillary, the hacker also hacked financials of Jay-Z, Paris Hilton, Mel Gibson, Ashton Kutcher, Vice President Joe Biden, Eric Holder, Robert Mueller, and LAPD Chief Charlie Black.
It’s a real shame to see something like this happen, and could potentially be dangerous for the exposed celebrities — the information posted by the hacker is more than enough for a tech-savvy criminal to steal an identity.
TMZ reports that the LAPD has already launched an investigation, and that the FBI is getting involved as well. Hopefully, law enforcement will be able to get to the bottom of this and none of the victims will be more affected.
Mass Celebrity Hacking — Is It A Hoax?
HollywoodLife.com has done some of our own digging. Looking into the website rumored to be hosting all of this stolen information, some of the info listed seems flimsy at best. We’ve been calling the revealed numbers and they seem to be either old or completely incorrect.
This is the best case scenario — that the mass celebrity hacking is a hoax, just a shady website trying to get attention. Though some information does seem to match up — Jay-Z’s social security number does match the one that was released when The Smoking Gun leaked the dossier that the NYPD had on the rapper in 2004, for example — it’s too soon to confirm either way.
