Nicki’s antics on the set of ‘American Idol’ may be off-putting to some, but a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that her bosses on the reality show aren’t upset with her at all! Read on for all the inside scoop.

Nicki Minaj: You either love her or hate her. The rap diva has brought something new as a judge to American Idol this season, but could her tardiness for the first live show and on-camera swearing be putting her in hot water with the execs at FOX? One source tell HollywoodLife.com exclusively that the answer to that question is “No.”

Nicki Minaj: ‘American Idol’ Knew What They Were Getting

A source close to Nicki, 30, tells HollywoodLife.com that the powers-that-be behind the scenes at American Idol knew just they doing when they hired the “Starships” singer — and that she’s in no danger of getting fired. “She was just having fun with it and no one’s mad at her for cruising,” our insider says. “They need her, and she knows that. And from day one, Idol knew what the f**k they were getting when they asked her to come do the show, so it’s not a surprise.”

Nicki: Late & Rude To Contestants?

As previously reported, Nicki’s late arrival to the Mar. 12 live show wasn’t the first time she’d pulled such a move. A source told RadarOnline, "Nicki has always been late. Even back during the audition phases she showed up anywhere from an hour or two past call time, pushing all of the auditions back and angering the other judges."

The source continued that Nicki’s faults allegedly extend beyond her time management skills. "Not only was she always late, but she always had a huge entourage with her and was rude to the contestants and their families, refusing to talk with them,” the source claimed. “And she wouldn't allow anyone to take pictures of her, or with her."

Do you think American Idol execs should be upset with Nicki’s performance as a judge, HollywoodLifers?
