Dzhokar In The Hospital & Can’t Speak
Dzhokar shot himself in the neck, in an attempt to kill himself. But instead, he lived and has now seriously injured himself. He’s being questioned by police but can only respond by writing things down. Dzhokar’s brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, died during a shootout with police on April 19.
Dzhokar was reportedly charged on April 22, with conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction against persons and property in the U.S. resulting in death, as well as one count of malicious destruction of property by means of an explosive device resulting in death.
The charges call for the death penalty, but the Obama administration has not decided whether to seek it or not. We told you that Dzhokhar was awake and capable of answering questions by writing them down, so he was also able to technically make his initial court appearance, because the magistrate judge visited him in the hospital.
