Katy Perry is reprising her role as the voice of the animated character Smurfette in the up-and-coming film, The Smurfs 2, and it looks like the 28-year-old star fit right in with her cast members when she stepped out in a blue satin choice at the 5th Annual Summer of Sony event in Cancun on April 23.
Katy Perry ‘The Smurfs 2′ Cancun Dress:
The star posed alongside a life-like version of her animated character while wearing a shiny satin dress that definitely brought out her inner Smurfette. The strapless piece featured blue toned stripes that really complimented her unique sense of style. The loose-fitting skirt of the frock was contrasted by a plunging pushup neckline that allowed the starlet to flaunt her assets. Slightly cinched at the waist, the dress accentuated Katy’s curves. She finished off the eye-catching look with a pair of simple black stilettos, which were a nice compliment to her naturally styled jet black hair.
The satin sensation was just one of a slew of blue-themed outfits the star sported in preparation for her film’s release. A blue striped Dolce & Gabbana frock and a pretty blue lace Monique Lhuillier dress rounded out the looks that she relied on to help bring out her Smurf side.
Katy shined in her satin ensemble alongside co-stars Hank Azaria, 48, Neil Patrick Harris, 39. After addressing her recently finalized divorce from Russell Brand, 37, by referring to it as a “very tiny elephant,” she shared a friendly smooch with Neil on stage! The film is set to premiere in July, and we’re sure Katy will sound absolutely adorable in the movie.
