Hooray for Luke! While Miranda Lambert swept the ACM Awards on April 7, Luke was an honorable winner of the coveted ‘Entertainer of the Year’ award.
The night of the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards really was Luke Bryan‘s night! Not only did he do an awesome hosting job with Blake Shelton, he also took home the most coveted award of the night — Entertainer of the Year! In the biggest shock of the night, Luke has become the first man to win to the award since 2007. Good for you Luke!

Luke struggled to hold back tears when he accepted his awards, as he expressed his gratitude to the crowd.
“This is the defining moment of my life and it means the world to me, and I will never take it for granted." He added, "What I always wanted to be was just a country singer that got to ride on a tour bus and show up at a new stage and play music every night…every time I step on stage, it is a blessing to play for fans."
HollywoodLife.com‘s senior reporter Chloe Melas thought that Luke and Blake were the best hosts of the ACM Awards ever! Here’s why:
Blake and Luke’s chemistry was off the charts! Luke, 36, was so funny and kept coming at Blake, 36, with jabs throughout the show.
My favorite moment was when they made fun of the ban against sideboob during the 2013 Grammys. They said that CBS had decided to ban back fat, beer belly's and butt cracks from the ACMs this year! Then Luke reached over and rubbed Blake's belly and it made The Voice host blush!
My second favorite moment was when Luke joked about the ABC show Nashville. Luke said that the show was about a hot, young, country star and a jealous, washed up, country artist. Then he laughed and said: "kinda like us!" Meaning that Blake is the old guy but he totally laughed it off. But the funny thing is, they're the same age!
