Margaret Thatcher: First Female Prime Minister Dies At 87
Lord Bell, the spokesperson, said, “It is with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning.” Margaret had suffered several strokes before this most recent one.
Lady Margaret Thatcher leaves behind an incredible legacy — she has left an indelible mark on Great Britain. Lady Margaret forcefully took hold off the country when she became Prime Minister in 1979, taking a strike-infested English workforce and thrusting the nation back into the forefront of international industry.
She also gained her fair share of detractors — many believed that she personified a new uncaring political philosophy, dubbing it “Thatcherism.” But Margaret will be remembered for her fearlessness and determination, above all things. Before resigning as Prime Minister in 1990, Margaret won three straight General Elections in a row.
When history is written, they will declare Lady Margaret one of England’s greatest peacetime leaders. Many believe that it was her who singlehandedly put determination back into the British people.

Lady Margaret Thatcher was truly one of our most powerful historical figures, and she will not be forgotten. Our thoughts are with her family and friends.
