Plus, with only four episodes left this season, Tamara & Owen reveal their secret weapon!

The April 21 episode of Once Upon A Time shone a spotlight on the ever-fluctuating relationship of Belle (Emilie de Ravin) and Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle), from its innocent beginnings — to its potentially very dark future.

Just as Emilie told HollywoodLife.com, this week’s fairy tale flashback showed Belle and Rumples before they were a couple, before she had even a glimmer of love for him. Robin Hood (Tom Ellis) broke into Rumples’ castle to steal a magic wand, but not all went according to plan, as he soon found himself tied up in the dungeon of the “Beast,” facing his final moments. Belle set him free, and when Rumples realized what she’d done, he brought her into the forest so she could watch him hunt Robin down and kill him. (Such a romantic! I’m starting to really see why Belle fell for him.)

But something happened to Rumpelstiltskin out in the woods. Even though he had Robin in his sights, he couldn’t go through with the kill. He noticed that Robin had only stolen his magic wand to cure his wife — or girlfriend, that part was unclear — who was sick, and also pregnant. Belle loved this ‘nice’ side of the Beast, which inspired him to give Belle her own library at the castle. (Needless to say, Rumples totes got laid that night.)

Racy ‘Lacey’

Sadly, life in present-day Storybrooke isn’t as easy for ‘Rumpbelle’ as it had been in the fairy tale world. Regina (Lana Parrilla) cured Belle of her amnesia, but rather than restore her memory as Belle, she gave her the memories of her cursed persona, Lacey! This beer-chugging, bra-showing bad girl was hardly the woman Mr. Gold had fallen in love with, but with Charming (Josh Dallas) as his own personal Hitch, he spent the episode trying to win back her heart.

When he realized that Lacey wasn’t digging his ‘nice guy’ routine, Mr. Gold completely gave up and decided to beat the crap out of some guy he caught Lacey kissing. (That guy also happened to be the Sheriff of Nottingham, but I’m not sure that really matters.) It turned out Lacey liked seeing Mr. Gold exact his vengeance; in fact, it kind of turned her on. So I guess we shouldn’t expect to see Gold doing too many good deeds in the coming weeks.

No Beans About It

Regina spent the episode suspecting that Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and her pals were up to something — and she was right. The gang has secretly been growing magic beans, with the intent of using them to leave Storybrooke for good.

What’s Hook Got To Do With It?

While all of this was going on, those nogoodniks Tamara and Owen spent the hour doing what they do best: swapping cryptic nonsense and scheming to take down the residents of Storybrooke. And at the very end of the episode, we discovered what was in the mysterious “package” they brought with them: Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue)!

HollywoodLifers, what do you think will happen in the season’s final three episodes? How does Hook fit into Tamara and Owen’s plan? And will they really leave Storybrooke forever? Drop a comment with your theories and predictions!
