Oh Reese, say it ain’t so! The 37-year-old actress was booked by Atlanta police on April 19 for disorderly conduct when her husband, James Toth was arrested for DUI. Now she’s just the most recent celeb with an amusing mugshot.
Reese Witherspoon looks about as far removed from Legally Blonde as possible in her mugshot from April 19 (and also, aren’t you required to look at the camera?). But what more can you expect after getting arrested for disorderly conduct during your husband’s DUI arrest?
Reese Witherspoon & James Toth Arrested
The celebrity couple got themselves into hot water when Reese’s celebrity agent husband, James Toth, was pulled over under suspicion of driving while intoxicated. According to the police report by Atlanta police, James was weaving across a double-lined street and smelled of alcohol when the officer approached the vehicle. Though James insisted he only had one single drink, he blew a .139 on a Breathalyzer test — well over the legal limit.
But the night really took an unfortunate turn when Reese refused to remain silent, mouthing off to the police officer and ignoring his orders to stay inside the car. “Mrs. Witherspoon began to hang out the window and say that she did not believe that I was a real police officer,” the police report states. “I told Mrs. Witherspoon to sit on her butt and be quiet.”
Reese then asked the officer if he knew who she was. When he said no she replied, “You’re about to know who I am.”
Reese’s inappropriate actions were enough to get herself in handcuffs. She was booked for disorderly conduct and taken to jail along with her husband.

Reese and James were released from an Atlanta jail on bond at about 3:30 AM on April 19. They are scheduled to be in court on Monday morning, April 22, though neither Reese nor James is actually expected to show up. Rather, their lawyer will request that the hearings be postponed.
This is quite a fall from grace for Reese. For now, Reese will be remembered for yelling at a police officer instead of winning an Academy Award. She should’ve just stayed in the car!
