‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star says her divorce was ‘absolutely a surprise,’ and that she first heard about it on Twitter!
April 21 was a strange night for Porsha Stewart. After watching herself defend Kordell Stewart on part three of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, she appeared on Watch What Happens Live to deliver a shocking update — including that she’s still living with her soon-to-be-ex-husband!
“I’m doing all right,” Porsha began at the top of the half-hour. “I’m blessed. I’m good. I’m here, I’m standing and I’m just being strong right now.”
Porsha Stewart Learned About Her Divorce On Twitter
Andy asked Porsha to recall the exact moment she found out Kordell was serving her with divorce papers, and her answer was even more shocking than he expected. She said she got a phone call from her sister, telling her to check Twitter, and that’s when she first saw the news.
“I thought, ‘this is just a crazy joke!’” Porsha said.
Believe it or not, Kordell was actually in another other room in the same house when she saw the tweet!
“I asked my husband … had he filed, and just a long story short, I felt very disappointed and let down,” she told Andy. “When I got married, I meant it for life. … I was heartbroken.”
But wait. It gets crazier.
Kordell Stewart Is Still Living With Porsha
As if divorcing Kordell isn’t hard enough, Porsha is doing it while they’re both under the same roof! She didn’t delve too deeply into her living situation on WWHL, but she did have this to say:
“It’s a difficult situation right now. It’s something I did not want at all.”
Porsha Stewart Does Not Want A Divorce
One thing Porsha wanted to make perfectly clear during her WWHL appearance is that she’s very much against her divorce from Kordell.
“What you saw on the reunion was a wife trying her last try,” she said. When you’ve made a vow to that man and that child in your home, you owe him that. … It was a betrayal I suffered from, and that’s something I’ll have to move on with.”
