Low ponytails are a hot trend for 2013 and Stella McCartney showed off the sleek and modern look in her Fall 2013 runway show. Aveda’s Global Creative Director Antoinette Beenders created the look and thanks to her top tips, anyone can achieve the sexy hair seen on the runway!
The models for Stella McCartney‘s Fall/Winter 2013 presentation were sporting shiny, sleek, and elegant ponytails with the help of Aveda products and the styling prowess of Creative Director Antoinette Beenders. We’ll show you the exact hairstyling products and techniques used to help you get look in your every day life!
Stella McCartney’s Fall 2013 Hair — Ponytails By Aveda
To create the look, Antoinette prepped the model’s hair with Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair and Aveda Smooth Infusion Style Prep to tackle humidity and protect the hair from heat styling.
Next, she sectioned hair off and began to blow-dry each section with a large round brush. Then, she flat-ironed the model’s hair and immediately applied Aveda Air Control for a light-hairspray hold.
She then secured hair into a low ponytail with one narrow section of hair wrapped around the elastic band and held in place with a hair pins. To finish, she sprayed Aveda Air Control again to provide a glossy finish on the hair.
Finally, she ran a flat iron through the hair one last time to flatten out any kinks or bumps, and finished by spraying Aveda Air Control one last time.
