The 2013 Teen Choice Awards nominees were released on May 22 and one award in particular caught our attention — the Choice Female Hottie award of course! Selena, Miley, and Demi are definitely favorites, but which sexy star is actually going to take home the surfboard?
Are you ready for a competition that promises to be closer than the 2000 election? Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, and Demi Lovato are all up for the 2013 Teen Choice award for Choice Female Hottie, along with Mila Kunis and Megan Fox, and we’re having a seriously difficult time picking a favorite. There’s just too much hotness to decide!
The New, Sexy Era Of Selena Gomez
Selena heads into the Teen Choice Awards on a real hot streak (literally). Breaking up with Justin Bieber may have been the best thing that ever happened to her chances of winning the 2013 Choice Female Hottie. The revenge dresses that she broke out during her promotional tour for Spring Breakers ushered in a new era of a grown-up sexy Selena Gomez. She was no longer just the cute Disney star.
And as she’s donned those bindi-ful outfits for her “Come & Get It” performances (and actually reunited with the Biebs), Selena has proven that she’s only getting hotter. Just watch the video for “Come & Get It!”
Selena was nominated for this award in 2012 and actually won it in 2011 — her chances of reclaiming the surfboard are pretty high.
Miley Cyrus: Can She Repeat?
But she’ll have to defeat the defending champion, Miley Cyrus. Since winning the 2012 Choice Female Hottie award, Miley has gone through a total makeover that has arguably made her even sexier!
Her edgy haircut and skin-showing ways might be enough for Miley to hold onto the award. And it’s hard to bet against the girl who topped this year’s Maxim Hot 100. However, since the awards show began in 1999, no star has ever won two years in a row, so history is not on Miley’s side.
Demi Lovato: A Truly Inspirational Hottie
That could leave the door open for Demi, who has had an inspirational comeback over the past year. Since becoming a judge for The X Factor in May 2012, Demi has been doing — and looking — fantastic, putting her struggles with addiction behind her.
She completely stunned us with the fierce sexiness of her “Heart Attack” video, and clearly there’s more where that came from. And everyone loves a comeback story — this could be Demi’s year!
Of course, past winner Megan Fox or multiple nominee Mila Kunis could swoop in and upset everyone. It’s all up to what the fans what — it’s your choice.
