Seven children were found drowned in Plaza Towers Elementary School and officials are searching for 24 more students who went missing during the deadly two-mile wide tornado that hit Oklahoma on May 20. A search is underway for survivors of the tornado that traveled through the suburbs of Oklahoma, killing at least 91, including seven children who drowned in a pool of water at their elementary school. Oklahoma Tornado: Students Missing — 24 Children Feared Dead Inside School Rescuers are aggressively searching through the debris to find 24 students, between the ages of five and eight, who went missing after Plaza Towers Elementary School took a hit during the horrific storm on May 20, according to Mail Online. Hundreds of homes, a hospital and another school were among the buildings flattened by the 200mph winds, leaving residents of the town stunned and devastated. “Our hearts are broken for the parents that are wondering about the state of their children that had been in the schools that have been hit today,” Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin said. “I know that there are families wondering where their loved ones are.” She also said that rescuers were “looking under every single piece of debris” for the missing. Rescue teams reported hearing cries for help under the flattened school, but those yells allegedly stopped around 6:30 p.m. on May 20. The missing children are feared to be dead.
