Oh no! After Chris Brown did it, could Selena be the second celebrity in a week to announce a breakup during a radio interview? Talking to Boston’s Kiss 108 the singer confirmed that she was available in every single way. So what about Justin Bieber?
Well this came out of nowhere! Selena Gomez sat down for a fun interview with Kiss 108 on Friday morning, May 10, and seemingly squashed the idea that she had reunited with Justin Bieber by admitted that she was available.
Selena Gomez Confirms She’s Available
The radio station’s DJ took a very interesting route to question Selena about her love life, but he certainly got results. “So sometimes you may see a boy walking down the street and he says, ‘Let’s grab an ice cream,’ you’re available,” the DJ asked. Selena emphatically replied, “Yep.”
And when the DJ pushed more, asking, “You’re completely available in every way,” Selena again quickly replied, “Yep.”
The 20-year-old singer then added, “By the way, that would be awesome if someone asked if I wanted ice cream because that would be cool,” perhaps implying that she wants to be asked out?
Selena Gomez: What Did She Really Mean?
All ice cream metaphors aside, was Selena really saying that she was single and ready to mingle? It’d be a huge turnaround after all signs had been pointing towards a reunion with Justin.
HollywoodLife.com has reported EXCLUSIVELY that the two stars “are still obsessed with each other” and have been slowly working on their relationship. “Selena and Justin are taking things slow,” a source said. “They want to make sure if they get back together, they can do it right.”
Selena could have confirmed that she was available simply because it’s technically true — she and Justin aren’t together, they’re just working towards that. And a simple “yep” to a radio DJ is a lot easier than explaining the ins and outs of trying to reunite with an ex-boyfriend. Maybe she was taking the easy way out.
Either that, or she’s actually hungry for some ice cream.
